″There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately no one knows what they are.″--W. Somerset Maugham
Books are sacred to me. Because of that I have a really difficult time getting rid of them. Even those on which a dog has chewed and broke my heart (for both the dog and the books).
I have been writing since elementary school--back in the dark days of the early 1960s, days of duck and cover, missile crises and assassinations (certainly not the most conducive atmosphere for young minds). As so many other writers, I have composed just about everything--short stories, novels, plays, essays, screenplays, awful high school poetry. And even working full time I tried to get published by submitting proposals to magazines, agents and publishers. I got one item published in the Journal of Irreproducible Results.
But when Amazon's Kindle debuted, it was a liberating experience. And since books are sacred, I put the absolute best that I possibly can out into the world. I hope it's enough to win the trust of you, dear reader.
You needn't read my stuff, but I hope you will read whatever you find interesting, evocative and informative.
